You will never be the same once you visit and meet the street kids and drug addicts of the inner city of Guadalajara.

Playing on the street leaves you dirty
I have had the opportunity on a number of occasions to visit, talk, and take photos and film video. It is risky, local drug dealings don't like seeing cameras, you never walk alone, you are always careful.
A team goes to the inner city at least twice a week but on the last Sunday of each month a bigger team gathers at the church to makes it way in to the city area to feed and clothe whoever will come.

Downtown mission base
It is an opportunity to forget about your own life and spend time with people who have very little - an opportunity to answer their questions, to listen to their stories.

Kids of downtown with a good meal
The experience will always leave you profoundly affected and amazing as it sounds, you want to go back, because you are always wondering how they are doing, the young girl with the baby, the young kids with little cloths and no food - what are they doing tonight to survive?

Happy faces and new jackets
The kids are looking for love and friendship, as it is generally the opposite that caused them to be where they are. Most of them run away from a violent home, and end up the street addicted to drugs.
